The
electrical systems on modern cars are becoming ever-more complex,
requiring the
expertise of an auto-electrician when connecting
towbar electrics.
There
are three options of socket
configuration, Single
7 pin electrics
(12N), twin 7 pin electrics (12N+12S) and
the 13
pin socket. [Details] |

Two
Bolt Flange towbars are the norm for the UK towing bracket
market. On this type the ball is bolted on to the towbar via
two bolts (1 on each side), meaning a conventional towball
can be used, or a combined Pin/Ball/Jaw for commercial use
can be fitted. Also many caravan stabilisers and cycle carriers
come as standard with a car plate that fits this type of towbar.
Other useful accessories such as a bumper protector plates
and tow steps can normally be fitted to a flange towbar.

Swan
Neck towbars are becoming more popular, seen by some as
more aesthetically pleasing then the flange type. Stabilisers
require
an adapter, and bumper protector plates, tow steps and universal
couplings cannot be fitted.

Detachable
towbars offer the best of both worlds: removable when
not in use to restore the clean lines of your car, voiding
protrusions
and a greasy ball. They are also useful for cars fitted with
reversing sensors as often a Flange or Swan Neck would interfere
with the sensors when not towing. We offer a number of different
alternatives from a range of manufacturers.
